Listerine Nail Fungus Treatment
By Ryan English
There is no telling of just how much potential is there in some of those home remedies. There is a lot of talk on how vinegar has helped to stop some ugly feet and smelly toes. The same discussion has now caught up on the use of Listerine to stop the smelly toes.
Listerine is one of the common table chemical solvents that is used in the kitchen. It contains Benzoic Acid, Sodium Saccharin, Methyl Salicylate and Sodium Benzoate. Some of these are preservatives that work by fixing the living organisms.
Those who claim to have used it to cure their nail fungus have either used it as single solvent or as a combination. It is not known exactly how it works or which combination of the home made remedies work. What is sure is that there are a number of people who were self treated at home and claim to have been healed by the use of Listerine.
One of the most popular combinations is that of Listerine and Vinegar or Cornmeal. In the case of the Listerine and Vinegar, it is thought that both combine to produce a strong alkali or salt solution and osmotic pressure determined. The efficiency of both Listerine and the various combinations have not been tested. There is need to do that so that it is clear which combinations work.
The step by step process of the using Listerine to treat nail fungus involves first of all cleaning the toes or fingers thoroughly using warm water and soap. The feet or hands are then dried by either being wiped with a towel or the water left to drip and air circulation allowed to completely dry.
Listerine is then poured on a basin or glass to soak the toes or the fingers. This is done for a period of about 30 minutes. There is no need to find soak the feet overnight since this may lead to further loss of the windows.
One can them add the more corrosive solvents such as vinegar for better results.
